CE Application Process
Thank you for your interest in the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education!
The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE®) is the national agency
for accreditation of professional degree programs in pharmacy and providers of
continuing pharmacy education, including certificate programs in pharmacy.
Accreditation is the public recognition accorded to a professional degree program
in pharmacy or a provider of continuing pharmacy education, including certificate
programs in pharmacy that is judged to meet standards through initial and
subsequent periodic evaluations.
The Application process is designed to collect information on all aspects of the
provider’s activities as they relate to ACPE’s Criteria for Quality and Interpretive
Guidelines. Prior experience in the provision of continuing education is not required
to successfully complete the application process. However, applicants with little or
no prior experience will be expected to develop an appropriate organizational and
educational framework upon which compliance with the quality criteria may be
reasonably assured. The Application should include the following:
• Self-Study, together with supporting materials and documentation,
organized into a bound volume (e.g., notebook or binder)
• Application fee of $5,000.00, in the form of a check (includes a registration
fee for the administrator to attend an ACPE Administrator’s Workshop once
the provider is accredited). Note: If the applicant formally withdraws their
application prior to the accreditation action, a portion of the application fee
may be refunded based upon the discretion of ACPE.
Note: ACPE reserves the right to adjust fees should circumstances dictate.
• Articles of Incorporation establishing incorporated status of your
organization
