Farhan F. A Review of Pharmacy Continuing Professional Development. Phar J. 2001; 267: 613-615.

The author shares a viewpoint on mandatory CPD participation for pharmacists in Great Britain. An introduction to the history of CPD in England leads into a discussion about CPD in other countries of Great Britain. Information is presented regarding the implications for pharmacy. Her major focus is on funding, followed closely by the controversy of having CPD as an integral piece of continued licensure. The author concludes with an opinion that some pharmacists will retire because of this change in assessment, while at the same time this change in learning may help pharmacists make more of the opportunities they have.
