Accreditation is the public recognition afforded a provider of continuing pharmacy education that is judged to meet standards through initial and subsequent periodic evaluations. The ACPE accreditation process for providers of continuing pharmacy education is designed to assure pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, boards of pharmacy, and others of the quality of continuing pharmacy education activities.

  • Become an ACPE-accredited provider: Organizations can apply for accreditation, which requires compliance with ACPE’s policies and a $6,750.00 application fee by downloading the CPE Provider initial application available in either PDF or Word format.
  • Enter a Joint Providership: Organizations can partner with an ACPE-accredited provider to offer a continuing pharmacy education (CPE) activity. Information regarding Joint Providership can be found here.
  • Seek Joint Accreditation: Organizations looking to provide education for the healthcare team can pursue Joint Accreditation.

State Boards of Pharmacy can design CE activities related to their rules and regulations. They must coordinate all aspects of the activities and can submit them through ACPE’s process to award ACPE credit, which is transmitted to CPE Monitor®.
