Welcome to ACPE's website for pharmacists!

ACPE ® is the national agency for accreditation of professional degree programs in pharmacy and providers of continuing pharmacy education, including certificate programs in pharmacy. Accreditation is the public recognition granted to a professional degree program in pharmacy or a provider of continuing pharmacy education, including certificate programs in pharmacy that is judged to meet standards through periodic evaluations.

ACPE's Board of Directors is derived from its founding organizations, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) (three appointments each), and the American Council on Education (ACE) (one appointment). These organizations are not members of ACPE, and appointees to the Board of Directors are not delegates of these organizations. ACPE is an autonomous and independent agency and its Board of Directors have authority for management of corporate affairs and is responsible for establishing policies and procedures, establishing criteria for the accreditation of providers of continuing pharmaceutical education, including certificate programs in pharmacy, setting standards for accreditation of professional programs of colleges and schools of pharmacy, and taking actions concerning accreditation.

USDE Recognition
ACPE is recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) for the accreditation and preaccreditation, within the United States, of professional degree programs in pharmacy leading to the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy, including those programs offered via distance education. ACPE’s Continuing Pharmacy Education Provider Accreditation and International Services programs do not qualify for USDE recognition.
